Matthew received a B.M. in music composition at Chapman University, studying with Jeffrey Holmes and Sean Heim. He participated in the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute studying under Greg Simon, Robert Aldridge, and David Dzubay. Matthew has also studied under composers Michael Johanson, Ryan Francis, and Daniel Brugh. Other music instructors include Janice Park, Linda Barker, Ruth Sadelik, and Raúl Gómez-Rojas. Matthew is based in Los Angeles and writes music for orchestra, piano, small ensembles, band, film, and other media.
